What have we done to date?

In 1996 Sandford Lido Limited took over the running of Sandford Parks Lido aware that one day major refurbishment of the main pool tank would be required. Until this time we have regularly carried out repairs to prolong the life expectancy of the tank. Our main repair took place in 1998 employing the advice of structural engineers and swimming pool architects.

1998 - Main Pool Expansion Joint Repair

In 1998 it was decided that Sandford Lido Limited would again undertake repairs to the expansion joint in the main pool in order to extend its life expectancy. Here is the brief of our project undertaken:

“To install a new expansion joint which will provide adequate movement capability and which is waterproof against the ingress of groundwater and the loss of pool water. This should also extend up the walls.”
