Pool edge coping

Since the last entry the paving around the site has continued including the areas outside the changing rooms. Some intricate sections have been formed around the existing features and incorporating the 1930's design which we have taken from the original drawings.
This week, work began on laying the pool edge coping slabs which have to be precisely level around the pool. The old tank had subsided in the one corner and the walls have now been built up almost six inches to compensate. With a level pool the new scum channels will be able to efficiently deal with surface debris. Also the freeboard (distance from water to poolside) will be reduced making it easier to pull yourself out of the pool. Hooray.
