As many of you will know the Lido was under considerable threat of flooding on Monday 25th June. The River Chelt burst its banks and flooded Sandford Park, turning it into a wide raging river. The flow of the water went as predicted by the Environment Agency and our low flood defence wall protected the Lido.

However our thoughts go out to those that were less fortunate on College Road and suffered disastrous flooding.

Work has continued throughout the poor weather conditions; however we really need a period of dry weather to finish the project.

The contractors are weather watching to complete final finishes on the walls; tiling will hopefully begin later this week. Then we really need dry weather to start painting the pool.
